WILLIAMSBURG, Va., (May 3, 2021) – The Williamsburg Farmers Market board of directors seeks artwork for a poster celebrating the market’s 20th anniversary, which will be observed throughout the 2022 market season. Interested applicants are invited to submit images for consideration. The winning image will be reproduced for use as the official anniversary poster.

More than one entry may be submitted, but each entry must be accompanied by a separate application form.

The Williamsburg Farmers Market will use the image on its poster and tee shirts and for other promotional purposes in celebrating the 20th anniversary. The artist retains ownership of the image for sale or other uses. No fee will be paid for the use of the image, but the winner will receive an honorarium of $250.

Applicants must send a completed application form, a digital file of their artwork, and a descriptive paragraph about the work (medium, location, when created, etc.) to the market manager at therner@williamsburgva.gov by November 10, 2021. The winner will be notified in mid-December. Finalists’ artwork will be displayed in the gallery of the Stryker Center, 412 North Boundary Street, in January 2022.
