Kelrae Beet Hummus

  • ½ Ib chickpeas (soak it overnight and cook for 15-20 minutes)
  • ½ Ib cooked beet
  • ¼ Cup olive oil
  • 2 Tbs Tahini or handful of sesame seeds
  • 3 cloves of garlic
  • ½ Tablespoon cumin seeds (optional)
  • ½ Coriander seeds (optional)
  • 1 Tablespoon Greek yogurt/ sour cream (optional)
  • ½Fresh green cayenne pepper (Optional. If you want it spicy add a whole red cayenne pepper)
  • Salt to taste
  • Handful of walnuts (optional)
  • 2 lemons (Juice)


Grind all of them together in food processor. Your beet hummus is ready now.
