Balila Ingredients
- 2 Cups Cooked Chickpeas (or canned)
- 1 Cup Halved Cherry Tomatoes
- 1 Lg. Yellow Onion (diced small- 1/4″)
- 2 Cloves of Minced Garlic
- 2 Tbsp. Fresh Chopped Parsley
- 1 Tbsp. Fresh Chopped Cilantro
- 2. Tbsp. Virgin Olive Oil
- 1. Tbsp. Ground Cumin
- 2. tsp Ground Coriander
- Juice of 1 Lemon
- 1/2 Cup Vegetable Stock
Process
Over medium heat, add olive oil and onion. Cook slightly until onions become fragrant. Add garlic and cook on Medium about 45 seconds to 1 minute. Add spices. Add vegetable stock (or water) and salt. Bring to simmer and add fresh herbs and tomato. Immediately remove from heat and add fresh lemon juice.

- 1 Cup Greek Yogurt
- 1 tsp. Salt
- 2 Tbsp. Zataar Spice
