Balila Ingredients

  • 2 Cups Cooked Chickpeas (or canned)
  • 1 Cup Halved Cherry Tomatoes
  • 1 Lg. Yellow Onion (diced small- 1/4″)
  • 2 Cloves of Minced Garlic
  • 2 Tbsp. Fresh Chopped Parsley
  • 1 Tbsp. Fresh Chopped Cilantro
  • 2. Tbsp. Virgin Olive Oil
  • 1. Tbsp. Ground Cumin
  • 2. tsp Ground Coriander
  • Juice of 1 Lemon
  • 1/2 Cup Vegetable Stock

Process

Over medium heat, add olive oil and onion. Cook slightly until onions become fragrant. Add garlic and cook on Medium about 45 seconds to 1 minute. Add spices. Add vegetable stock (or water) and salt. Bring to simmer and add fresh herbs and tomato. Immediately remove from heat and add fresh lemon juice.

Spiced Yogurt Ingredients

  • 1 Cup Greek Yogurt
  • 1 tsp. Salt
  • 2 Tbsp. Zataar Spice

Process

Combine and chill
